We are excited to share that the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (WHIAANHPI) is accepting applications for our student volunteer internship program for the 2024 summer and fall cycles! Learn how to apply here.

Please join us on November 8 at 4 p.m. ET to learn about the application process — and get insights, tips, and advice directly from current interns and program alumni. WHIAANHPI staff will also be available to answer any questions you may have.

Through Executive Order 14031, WHIAANHPI drives the Biden-Harris Administration’s whole-of-government strategy to advance equity, justice, and opportunity for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities. Our internship program offers unique, rewarding experiences for undergraduate and graduate students who are passionate about public service, with opportunities to support a broad range of workstreams – including communications, event production, national community engagement, and federal policy.

Summer 2024: Anticipated start in May or June
  • Applications due February 28, 2024
Fall 2024: Anticipated start in August or September
  • Applications due May 21, 2024
