From Asian Americans Advance for Justice Dear Community Partners,    Asian Americans Advancing Justice is holding a webinar next Wednesday, July 26, to discuss the implications of the Supreme Court’s recent rulings to effectively end affirmative action in higher education. The webinar will feature leaders in the AANHPI and educational equity advocacy space who will share insight on the road ahead for racial justice in education. The speakers will cover the following topics:  Decision consequences, new legal challenges, and the latest reports from Higher education Tracking the impact on Southeast Asian and Pacific Islander communities Upcoming educational equity priorities Navigating anti-Asian backlash New resources: Calls-to-action for universities, policymakers, and community partners Future collaboration The speakers, include representatives from Chinese for Affirmative Action, Empowering Pacific Islander Communities, the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, the Legal Defense Fund, and the Southeast Asia Resource Action Center will share their ongoing analysis of the rulings, as well as how our movements for racial justice move forward in long-standing fights for educational equity that center those most harmed by the court’s recent decisions, including Black, Latinx, Southeast Asian, Pacific Islander, Native Hawaiian, and other marginalized communities.    Together we will continue the fight for educational equity.
